 What is gangrene?

  How does gangrene occur?


Often occurs in the hands, feet or skin due to lack of blood supply. The condition most often affects the toes, fingers, and toes, but can affect muscles and organs. Symptoms include discolouration of the skin, severe pain followed by numbness and a foul odour. Gangrene requires immediate care.
